Cem-MAT^®

Cem-MAT® is an engineered mat designed to reinforce thin layers of cementitious matrices. It is made of high elastic modulus and high tensile strength alkali resistant (AR) glass.

Cem-MAT® does not corrode and is unaffected by UV radiation, making it suitable for use with minimal cover. It is produced by chopping AR glass fibers and to bind them with a suitable agent. The mat has an open structure to enable penetration by the matrix.

The binder, which dissolves with water, further assists incorporation into the matrix. Cem-MAT® may be used in flooring systems.

One of the concerns for concrete floors is their accelerated deterioration and often a life-span shorter than expected. Another is ease of construction. Consideration of an extended service life increasingly influences the choice of floor reinforcement solutions.

Cem-MAT® may be used together with Anti-Crak fibers for even stronger floors.
